Amman, Jordan. April 2015 via TRAVELSTACHE. My inbox was particularly stuffed with quality remixes this week, so let’s get right to it. Talented producers Eau Claire and Plastic Plates get this week’s playlist off to a spring-like start with sparkling takes on Golden Coast and Cheerleader hits. Bit Funk elevated Higher Self’s gem “Ghost” with pulsing synth, while Amtrac injected Jack Garratt’s hit “Chemical” with a spry, uptempo backing. Elsewhere, The Knocks allowed me see Carly Rae Jepsen as a dance pop dive on their infectious take on “All That”, while give spiraling synth-filled reworkings

Its been a minutes since we’ve heard the sassy brat pop of Holychild, but the duo managed to craft a catchy summer jam with an appropriate message on their new single. “Money All Around” features singer Liz Nistico’s distorted and cascading vocals skewering culture’s money revolving nature, while producer Louie Diller supplies a rising and falling synth-filled backdrop. Nistico explained the track’s theme as “our culture’s obsession with fame, bodies, and money, and how that affects personal relationships. I feel like I’m always second-guessing my interactions with other people. Maybe it’s overthinking, but I’m always

I wasn’t quite sure how to describe the sound of East London mystery artist Rationale, but the producer’s new song “Fast Lane” is a bit of an oxymoron. The languid tempo featuring subtle synth and tropical percussion is anything but fast. However, that is exactly the point. Rationale’s androgynous vocals details efforts to slow down from today’s rushed paced and be present in the moment. Stream Rationales’s “Fast Lane” below and look for an EP from this mystery act this summer

artwork by Tony Katai Detroit’s Gosh Pith continue to impress, while refusing to be pigeon-holed in one genre. The duo’s latest release “Child”, floats along in vocal distortion, paced percussion and melancholy guitar for a bliss pop feel. The soundscape matches the narrative as Gosh Pith described “Child”‘s origins in the feelings of relatable younger days when you’re sure you know everything before life can come to a crashing halt. Josh & Josh stated “this song is sort of a sigh of relief and a reminder of light that still exists when you are under

Lycian Way, Turkey. April 2015 via TRAVELSTACHE. Its been a busy week in just about every aspect of my life, so I’ll just be thankful it is finally Friday. Let’s get to the music. I’ve been thoroughly addicted to RATATAT’s return track “Cream On Chrome”, so it wasn’t much of a stretch for me to fall in love with wait what’s addition of Drake’s “0 to 100″ on “100 to Chrome.” RAC proved once again that he can take a song I did not enjoy into something I enjoyed immensely with a blissful take on

Arches have essentially tortured fans for the last month in making us wait for their new single. Ok “tortured” is a strong word, but with a song that addictive, waiting is tough. The infectious house track “New Love” first made an appearance on The Magician’s Magic Tape 49 and was an easy choice for favorite of the mix. Apparently, the Belgian producers were a favorite of The Magician as well because he quickly signed them to his Potion label. Now we can all fully enjoy the inescapable bassline, melodic hook and Karen Harding’s insatiable vocals
