My Take: Outside Lands was one of the first festivals I remember drooling over, years back. This edition looks just as worthy for anyone that can make it. The 3 headliners (Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Beastie Boys) are perfect for fans looking to relive ’90’s glory. Aside from that, the usual festival heavy hitters (Band Of Horses, TV On The Radio, Conor Oberst, M.I.A., The National, Robert Randolph) are on the bill, mixed with newcomers like The Dodos, The Duke Spirit, Matt and Kim and Heartless Bastards. Pop also gets some representation in Black Eyed Peas, Jason Mraz and Tom Jones (wtf?).

Aside from music, Outside Lands also features a number of green initiatives, bicycle valet, wine-tasting and a taste of the bay area.

Bright Eyes – Middleman
Bat For Lashes – Prescilla
Pearl Jam – Crazy Mary
Modest Mouse – Invisible
The Dodos – The Ball
The Avett Brothers – Murder In The City
