Thanks again to AMG and Nasty Little Man PR for the great seat (about 11 rows from the floor!).
I still favor Foo Fighters’ show at Hangout, a) but that was the first time I had ever saw them and b) my feet were in the sand. Can’t beat that. The Foo Fighters’ stage at Gwinnett initially looked relatively bare, but was lit up at showtime with a glowing floor that matched drop down lights/screens that looked inspired by sentinels from The Matrix. Quite the sight to be seen. Traffic made me miss The Joy Formidable, but Cali-punk rock vets Social Distortion were a welcome surprise. Closing with a cowpunk cover of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” didn’t hurt either. I’ll need to do some further research into those legends ASAP.

Head to Atlanta Music Guide for the full review.
