If you are on the same Mayer Hawthorne, Alabama Shakes, and Fitz and the Tantrums train that I’m on, you’re gonna like JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound. Their cover of Wilco’s “I Am Trying To Break Your Heart” piles on the soul and emotion mixed with horns and handclaps shines with potential. I foresee many festival appearances in these fellas futures.
