If there was anyone who could break my post-New Orleans blog silence, it would most certainly be Jessie Ware. The U.K. singer/songwriter just released a soothing, ’80s-style slow burner in “Tough Love”. The song showcases Ware’s growth in vocal ability and could be the first step in what could be a very huge year for her. As noted in a semi-hilarious interview with P4k, Ware worked with Devotion collaborators Julio Bashmore, Dave Okumu, and Kid Harpoon, but brought in big guns like Tom Ford, Ed Sheeran and BenZel (aka Two Inch Punch and Benny Blanco). Look out for Jessie Ware’s new album soon and check out my review of her 2013 show at Saint Andrews Hall. Purchase “Tough Love” on iTunes and stream below.
