10410237_702566149792110_4812575772400697900_nNovember’s Metro Detroit show list is nearly as staggering as October’s with big names like Bassnectar, alt J and Death From Above 1979 coming to town. There are a host of smaller show being held, plus a ton of local acts coming home as well.

St. Paul & the Broken Bones is probably the highlight of November’s list as this will likely be the last time you’ll see these southern gentlemen in a venue as cozy as Saint Andrews. Cashmere Cat brings his elusive live show to Magic Stick after having a big year or two with his own work + producing for Jessie Ware and Ariana Grande. The Wild Feathers should appease folk and alt country fans on 11/11 at the Shelter and St. Lucia is guaranteed to wow at the Crofoot the following night. I would also highly recommend Killer Mike and El-P’s unstoppable force, Run the Jewels at Saint Andrews on 11/25. Their recently leaked second album is outstanding and their appearance at the first (and last) Laneway Fest was a hilarious and engaging burst of energy.

Dance music fans have plenty to enjoy with the aforementioned Bassnectar show tomorrow and the return of MSTRKRFT should be welcomed with open arms at The Crofoot on 11/26. Moon Boots might have the most underrated show of the month as the rising producer will have fans dancing with a great bill featuring Henry Krinkle, Detroit-favorite Golf Clap and more.

Plenty of rising Detroit acts return home this month. Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr have a two night bonanza planned on Nov. 22-23 at The Crofoot, while Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas make for an excellent opener for St. Paul this Saturday. Hernandez’s recent album is steadily gaining critical favor and will surely be on my top albums list later this year. Danny Brown will likely have the largest return home party though on 11/26 at the Majestic Theatre. He’s what I’d like to call hip-hop’s “wild card” and hometown fans will love his antics live.

As always, stream tracks of upcoming shows below and go see a show in November!
