So many remixes, so little time. Am I right? A lot of big names returned to Remix Friday this week in a big way with strong productions. Bixel Boys gave Le Youth’s “R E A L” a banging percussion-driven remix, Pat Lok dialed up the deep house sounds for Gold Fields and Urban Contact reworked the groove of Olympique’s “Face Down The Earth”.
Even new finds like That’s Nice & LeSonic crafted danceable rhythms for your weekend listening. Also, I have to say I’m loving The Chainsmokers’ recent downtempo productions like their new remix of Clean Bandit’s “Real Love”. They manage to keep their sounds fresh with a diverse array of styles that should suit just about anyone’s taste.
The top remix of the week comes courtesy of Baltimore duo Wye Oak. Sounds like they’ve still been experimenting with synth since their top notch album Shriek and it paid off on an excellent reworking of “Play It Right”.
