At this point, you may be convinced Philly quartet CRUISR are a mythical musical creature created specifically for summer indie pop gems. It would be a fair assessment based on the consistent output of jangly, sunshine-ready hooks these guys emit. “Throw Shade” and “Moving To Neptune” are the latest examples of the breezy, yet engaging anthems CRUISR specializes in. “Throw Shade” bounces with peppy guitar, fringe 8-bit synth and a dismissively comical chorus, while “Moving To Neptune” leans back with a call and response ready refrain and tap worthy melody.
Stream CRUISR’s “Throw Shade” below (or on Spotify, iTunes) and catch them on tour with Young Rising Sons for the remainder of the summer. MI fans: catch them in Grand Rapids on 7/31 and Lansing on 8/1.
