Artist Submissions: QUIX, Blane Fonda & DJ White Shadow

You may or may not have noticed the recent additions of “About That” and “Artists” pages to JayeL Audio.  I’ve only just started to get feedback, but what I’ve been sent so far has been pretty good.

Blane Fonda – The first band who contacted me was Chicago-based Bland Fonda. “Opportunity Knocks” reverberates with the power of singer Mark Wetzel’s acrobatic voice and memorable new wave sound (kinda reminiscent of Joy Division). Look for Blane Fonda‘s debut EP Master of Stars and Broken Arms to drop on August 13th. Pick it up here.

QUIX – I first heard QUIX when I stumbled upon his stellar Rick Ross/MGMT mash-up, “Hustlin’ Kids”. Soon after came the magnetic, “What U Know Scientist” and a sick remix to “Spottieottiedopaliscious”. Finally, I got a track straight from the source. DJ Quixotic’s take on Wale’s “Chillin'” is both electro-fied and hypnotic.

DJ White Shadow – This goes against my no R. Kelly posting rule, but DJ White Shadow’s concotion is worth it. Paul Blair turns “Makin Me” into an R&B flavored, B-more house jam meant to be spun near a dancefloor.

If your band or anyone you know is interested in being featured on JayeL Audio, please send tracks to I can’t promise everything will be posted, but if its worth passing on to the masses, I’ll certainly give it a write up.
