Thursday Linkage: The Black Keys, Animated Albums, NPR Live Concerts, Nappy Roots and more

A) Seems like I’ve been waiting for May 18th to get here for far too long. Good thing NPR is streaming The Black KeysBrothers all week. Trust me, its worth a pre-order.
B) Want to see your favorite album covers come to life? Me too. Check out the great Animated Albums Tumblr page (via Creative Loafing).
C) Need to re-live a recent Local Natives, Hold Steady or Shout Out Louds concert? NPR has streaming live sets from all of these bands and more (via Pitchfork).
D) If you know, one of the top hip-hop blogs on the internetz, you probably have heard of creators Shake and Meka. Meka used have a hip-hop-tinged social commentary column/blog at HipHopDx back in the day. In addition to his 2dopeboyz duties, Meka is back at writing with the new XXL column, Slang Editorial. Read his hilarious and entertaining take aging rappers from my heyday and their place in current hip-hop, “Is Old Man Rap Really Obsolete?”. Read more “Slang Editorial” here.
E) I’m loving everything off the Nappy Roots’ next album, The Pursuit of Nappyness (pre-order here, due June 15th). Nah Right has the video for the previously mentioned “Ride” and “P.O.N.” is listed below. Check their website for the pre-album mixtape Nappy University.
F) Dave Wrangler wasted no time in putting Ratatat’s new jam “Party With Children” to work. The freshly leaked see-saw guitar sounds great mixed with one of my favorite Scarface tracks, “My Block”. Dave Wrangler – Party With Children on My Block (Scarface x RATATAT) by davewrangler
