Thursday Linkage: Desktop, No Limit, Cut Copy, Mochi Beats and more

A) Needless to say, I was pretty excited to see the above picture pop up on Desktop‘s Facebook page. If its half as good as last year’s EP, its gonna be a hot summer
B) Largehearted Boy is keeping track of all the live music recorded at Bonnaroo. I’m gonna need to hear that Jay Electronica for sure.
C) Complex continues the awesome “Greatest” lists with one from my glory days, 25 Greatest No Limit Songs of All Time. My list would probably look different than theirs, but #9 certainly takes me back…
D) One of my favorite bands, Cut Copy has pretty much been in the dark since promoting their classic album, In Ghost Colours. I couldn’t be happier to hear they have a new single due this fall and an album soon after. Pitchfork has the interview.
E) Mash-up artist Mochi Beats hit my inbox a few weeks ago. While I wasn’t big on his initial submission, I found a lot of his other work near perfection. “Cooler than a Wildcat” find Ratatat, Timbaland, Shakira and Mike Posner all mixed for a masterful sound collage. Besides, its the first time I’ve heard Mike Posner in a mash-up. Get the mochi beats album free here.“Cooler than a Wildcat” (Ratatat + Mike Posner + Shakira + Lil Wayne + Timbaland) by mochi beats
