Holy Monday: Kanye+Jay-Z+La Roux, Cut Copy and Jimmy Fallon+Tracy Morgan

And I thought last week was great for music….
A) I’m not sure who turned Kanye West onto La Roux, but I’m glad they did. They collaborate once again (supposedly she is on “All The Lights”, but who isn’t?) on “That’s My Bitch” off the Jay-Z/Kanye project, Watch The Throne. Its produced by Q-Tip and particularly fantastic. bit by b261902
B) Cut Copy offered up their 1st official single from their third album, Zonoscope today. Its much more dance-friendly (think flashing lights and hand claps a la “Lights and Music”) than “Where I’m Going” and even has a hint of tropical pop. That bassline reminds me of CSS’ “Move” for some reason (in a good way). If I could pre-order Zonoscope and a ticket to an ATL tour stop now, I certainly would. Cut Copy – “Take Me Over” (Radio Edit) Premiere by modularpeople
C) I have no idea why, but this skit from a recent episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon couldn’t make me stop laughing the other night. Click the video to see what Jimmy and Tracy Morgan were up to.

Thats it for now, but expect more this week.
