I don’t know about you, but this month was essentially music overload for me. New albums from St. Vincent (artful and excellent), Pharrell (enjoyable and breezy) and Kid CuDi (awful, I guess I should be surprised anymore), plus fresh, new discoveries from Cathedrals, Plastic Plates and Mr Little Jeans. Elsewhere, uptempo dance music was helpful for  winter tundra blues with new jams from The Knocks, Big Gigantic and Chromeo. I can’t decide which track is my favorite of the mixtape right now, Little Dragon or Stepdad. Stepdad once again bring their A-game with the oddball, synth-filed earworm that is “Running”. However, Little Dragon blew my first single expectations out of the water with the blistering anthem “Klapp Klapp”. Plus David Letterman liked it. Actually, I think its settled. Little Dragon is the winner this month. Glad we could talk that out. Let me know if you agree in the comments.
