Fickle Friends – Play

artworks-000075090186-dukdld-t500x500Brighton’s Fickle Friends did a great job of breaking me out of Winter’s doldrums on their recent single “Swim” and their latest should fit on your Spring playlists nicely. “Play” dials back the synthy joy of “SWIM” in favor of jangly guitar reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club, but once again showcases Natti Shiner’s airy lead vocals. Shiner descrebed “Play” as “about seeing someone who’s losing their passion. It’s a continuation of the characters from SWIM. She’s getting nostalgic as he becomes less interested in everything.” Stream “Play” below and look for more from Fickle Friends soon.
