Nearly every time that I’ve written about Misun, I have classified their sound as “nostalgic” and/or referenced how catchy their songs have been. I’m going to stick with both of those terms as the LA-based (via DC) band preps their debut album, Superstition, for next week’s release.
Latest single “Penny” again shines with Misun Wojcik’s sultry vocals and the band’s penchant for ’60’s pop riffs and instrumentation. The hypnotizing production matches Wojcik’s narrative as she outlines finally expressing her love for an admirer after much hesitation.
