A friend recently reminded me of the greatness that was Milo Greene‘s 2012 self-titled debut album after she attended a show in LA. I was assured that the new music had a dance-able lean and early singles from their sophomore album Control (out 1/27/15) that promise.
The latest single “On The Fence” takes a nostalgic trip to the past with blasts of synth and enough addictive percussion to get you on the dancefloor. If you loved the harmonies of past tracks like “1957” and “Don’t Give Up On Me”, don’t fret. Both “On The Fence” and initial release “White Lies” (which especially highlights Marlanna Sheetz vocal talents) could easily line up next to CHVRCHES and HAIM on your playlist of dance music that doesn’t forget about vocals.
