I’m not going even lie, between the end of summer semester, Wayhome recovery and Dr. Dre’s new album release, there simply has not been time for Remix Friday. However, a new reworking from Solidisco is enough to break my trance from Compton.
I thoroughly love most things Chromeo and appreciate DJ Cassidy‘s recent releases, but NY producers Solidisco gave “Future Is Mine” exactly the touch I hoped the original would have. The duo’s remix spotlights P-Thugg’s talkbox and pushes the tempo with tropical synth and percussion for a danceable, summer affair.
